3 more months

We heard from Ryan yesterday. It was a very short but serious call. He's finally moved to Kandahar and will be going out soon. We will probably won't hear from him till he's ready to come home. This will be a very long 3 months. The good new is he got a brand new truck which is big time heavy duty. The tires alone weigh 700 lb. each. So i'm at least glad he'll be in a bigger truck. It's also anti bomb sturdy. Keep him your prayers.

Ryan's call

We just finished talking to our soldier this morning. He sounded so good. We talked almost an hour. He's doing wonderful. He's getting more experieced on his quitar and can play 2 songs really well and sing ,from Johnny Cash. He's working out like crazy and staying healthy. He wanted to make sure that i'm not saying anything in these posts about his missions. Aparantly someones wife did on her face book in detail . So her husband really got an ear full from his comander. I knew better. Plus he doesn't really tell us details. I'm sure it's his way of protecting us. But no matter what we know it's dangerous there. He's makeing all kinds of plans for when he gets out. Going to school. finishing his truck, buying a home. We can't be more proud of him. So far it looks like he'll be home in August. We'll be there when he steps off the plane.

We love you Ryan and thanks so much for calling as much as you do. Means a ton. Love MOM&DAD

Just to let everyone know that we do talk with Ryan on a regular basis. He's doing great. Training Afghan soldiers and also patrolling thru small towns where he is based. They are staying very busy with the new insurgent of the bad guys. Pushing them more and more away from the Afghan people. He's being smart and safe. Keep up with your prayers for him and the troops. Keep checking back to see further updates.

We love you Ryan and are so very proud of you. Love MOM & DAD

A fun night with Ryan just before he leaves for his 1st tour. It was a great time to meet his friends and comrads of his platoon. Great shot of the flames from the chef. This is one of his favorite resturants in North Carolina. We then drove his car back to Montana. Long drive.

Belle just couldn't contain herself when Ryan came home for Christmas. Neither could we. Sure miss you son. Can't wait to see you in Washington D.C. next month. Love you tons. MOM

These training shots were posted on Fort Braggs website. We were so lucky to have some of Ryan training. Look how much weight he's lost.
